Feng, Fang Shiyu's father. According to the book Evergreen, Fang De is an ordinary textile businessman. He married Miao Cuihua only because he saved Miao Xian's life. In Fang Shiyu's story, he did little except take Fang Shiyu to Hangzhou for business and meet Lei Laohu. In the early movies and TV series, little attention was paid to this character, and sometimes he was deprived of the identity of Fang Shiyu's father. For example, in Hehu, the name written on the tablet of the murdered father is "Saint Francis Heng", not "Fang De".
