Toshir? Mayuzumi's resume.
Toshir? Mayuzumi 1929 was born in Yokohama on February 20th. My family is very rich. My father is the manager of Yokohama Branch of Yamashita Steamship Club. Although he doesn't particularly like music, he has an organ at home. Mom can play a little guzheng. Dai is very talented in music, and can also be said to be a precocious musical prodigy. At the age of ten, he studied piano with dysprosium for three or four years, and then entered Kurita Valley Primary School in Yokohama and No.1 Middle School in the county, where he joined the choir and harmonica band. He has a creative talent. After studying harmony, acoustics and music theory with Taro Nakamura for only half a year, at the age of fourteen, he has composed twenty or thirty piano pieces, songs and chamber music.

From 65438 to 0945, he entered the composition department of Tokyo Conservatory of Music (now Tokyo University of the Arts). In Japanese, teaching is written as "class" in Chinese characters, and hard work is written as "reluctance" in Chinese characters. Dai's education in college is really like what China said about teaching. That's because the air raid was fierce, so he couldn't attend class in groups, so he went to the teacher alone to ask for teaching and practice alone according to his personal requirements and interests. Dai thus learned composition from Hirohiko Hashimoto, acoustics and counterpoint from Jiro Chiyou, orchestral music from Ifu, piano and conductor. However, he studies hard and is not "reluctant" at all. The graduation work "A Wandering Music of 10 Musical Instrument" received rave reviews. "It brings out the post-war impression with a wonderful lightness." When he was an undergraduate for three years, he joined a jazz band and played the jazz piano for about a year. This experience has a great influence on his music emotionally.

After entering the research department, the composition Cuneiform written by/kloc-0 in June, 1950 was selected for the 5 1 ISCM Modern Music Festival, which was unanimously recognized. This is a strong southern accent, with a small string of female free and easy orchestral music. "It confirms that in Japan, it is increasingly showing refreshing talents after playing." The Symphony Atmosphere, commissioned by the NHK Symphony Orchestra Committee for 50 years, is also a work based on Java music. In the same year, in the film performance of "Daily News", his "Going Home" won the film music award, and later set out to create a lot of film music.

Toshir? Mayuzumi Xiao He stands out when he shows his edges and corners. His style is "ingenious and light" and "refreshing", which is praised by critics as the future and hope of music in the new era after the war. At this time, he was just twenty-one years old. In May1year, Dai entered the Paris Conservatory of Music as an exchange student with the French government, and returned to China about one year later. There are different opinions about why he finished studying in Paris in such a short time: one is that he thinks this is not a place to learn traditional skills; The other thought it was because something in the Paris Conservatory of Music didn't quite fit his temperament. But for him who is full of avant-garde spirit, studying abroad is by no means in vain. He got two things: one is the modern composition technique of Olivier Meixian, and the other is the concrete music of Boolean schaffer.

In 1953, he was entrusted by the Japan Culture and Broadcasting Committee to compose and perform "The Works of X Y Z with Specific Music", which made the world stunned. He expressed his views on this:

"There will only be such a view that this is a recording that only collects noise. This kind of music, the score is an infinite intermediary, and the trouble of the player is redundant. Composers use their own hands to create direct sounds, and there are ways to compose music. This is completely music from another world. In recent years, the popular twelve-tone music, as well as other doctrines, its ending itself is still limited to the playing techniques existing in the musical concept, and the starting point of specific music is the change of musical essence and concept, which must be paid attention to. "

In the next 55 years, I personally began to produce the earliest electronic music "Electronic Music Practice I" in NHK Electronic Music Studio, and the following year I collaborated with Zhu on "Variations on 7", which is a masterpiece of early Japanese electronic music. In instrumental music works, the idea of music collection and timbre structure has been developed. In the orchestral work Xiang Yan (1954), I tried the flow of mechanical sounds. In Ekutopurasumu (1954), the structure of flowing music was tested by changing the composition of electronic instruments, kula violins, electric guitars, percussion instruments and string ensembles. Five saxophones, five trumpets, wind instruments and percussion instruments, and a music saw are used in "Full Tone 55" to make it roar out the voiced energy. The basic forms (series) of twelve-tone technique and Rhythm have been introduced into works such as Sextet (1954), Micro-World of Seven (1957) and Essays for Piano and String Quartet (1957).

During this period, we saw a radical experimenter, who actively absorbed western music culture, greedily adopted all new materials and technologies, sought innovation and change in his creation, and strode forward along modernism. He is famous for his popularity and plays the role of a favorite who is always ahead of the times.

In this regard, different people have different views, conductor Hiroyuki Iwaki said:

"Thanks to Mr. Dai, the so-called avant-garde was introduced in the fifties and sixties, and many composers naturally accepted this amazing stimulus. Therefore, it is easy to say that without Mr. Dai, there would be no prosperity of Japanese composition today. "

As one of the "three-person meetings" (Yasushi Akutagawa, Toshir? Mayuzumi and Dan lkuma), Dan lkuma has his own views on this:

"Before nirvana, wearing is not independent. ..... From the time he studied in France until he appeared in The Meeting of Three, for example, he was influenced by Boolean Schaefer's acoustics, he wrote concrete music experiments and introduced them to Japan, and also wrote imitations of electronic music. I don't think that kind of work is a composer's job. This is just an introduction to the current situation in Europe. The job of such an introducer should be done by beginners in a relatively backward country. It is considered meaningless to introduce European avantgarde music to Japan through his own works. Even after the war, the world was deserted, but Japan did not fall behind to that extent in music. ..... I think composers should create their own methods if they want to dig their own way. ..... So Dai became famous in the initial stage and the next stage because of these, but there was no musical gain. Later, Dai Zili became a composer and was nirvana. " The Dai family should be said to belong to the elite class who had a successful career when they were young. They are proud, comfortable and handsome. Among musicians and composers of the same age, he belongs to the category of getting rich first. Younger than him, the younger generation recalled Dai's life in those days, all talking about his lifestyle outside the composer:

Hiroyuki Iwaki can be said to be the full-time conductor of Dais. He is full of affection, admiration and even admiration for Dais. He is three years younger than Dai. He said: Miss Dai is a real star. When I entered Tokyo University of Arts, Mr. Dai was already a dazzling star. He often takes his wife to school to play. At this time, a cry of "Miss Dai is coming" aroused everyone's discussion and gathered around. The girls all went to see Diana, while the boys went to see his new wife Y?ko Katsuragi. And carrying the Sayuri Yoshinaga pure star style beauty, is a handsome and beautiful Jaguar sports car.

He fondly recalled Dai's chamber music, thus becoming a professional percussion player of modern music in his freshman and sophomore years and a professional conductor in his senior year. In his early days as a conductor, he mainly conducted Dai's songs. What impressed him even more was that he directed Dai's Nirvana. That was 1958' s third "threesome". Before Nirvana, Akutagawa Nomura and Dan lkuma conducted their own music respectively. Dai told him that his music was too big and complicated this time, and you should be a professional conductor. At that time, Yancheng was the conductor and researcher of N Ring Road, with a monthly salary of 5,000 yuan, a net income of 4,500 yuan after tax, and a subsidy of 300 yuan for each impromptu concert. At the end of the concert, Dai thanked him and gave him a generous reward of 30 thousand yuan. Mentioned casually afterwards, Dai said, no, I'll give you 50 thousand. Yancheng said: It is 30,000. Dai said: no, it's your wife's turn to say. Such a big tune is only 30 thousand yuan. This man is too stingy. The next day, Dai took another 10,000 yuan to Yan Cheng. What you wear is so informal and refined.

Yancheng compared with Dai. He said: I think Toru Takemitsu is like an alien. Although he is very kind to me, he also plays and drinks together after work. After being drunk, he likes to sing Long song. But anyway, I can only respect him. Besides working together and playing his music, I often regard him as an alien and keep a sense of fear. In addition to respecting Dai's family, you can be close, trust and quarrel. Dai is a person with maternal love. "Dai Li is a lovely person, which may be unimaginable for some people who only know the right-wing speech. But he is also a wayward and abrasive boy. "

Ikebana Ichiro, who is also a composer, also admired Dai's generation of composers when he was young. He eagerly read music magazines, and through the "interview" column, he saw two composers with diametrically opposite styles: Dai stood waist-high with the hood of a sturdy sports car in his hand, wearing clogs, and riding a bicycle to meet reporters in a small teahouse. When he first met Dai, the World Congress of International PEN was held in Kyoto in 1972. Dai is the host of PEN. The excellent host and fluent English made the audience speechless.

Besides his own factors, Dai's pioneering spirit is also related to his knowledge.

"From the moment he entered the Tokyo Music School, Shiqiao Benyan and Ifu's department Zhao were thinking, it must be true. Hashimoto is a playboy who came back from Paris. He often wears gorgeous and fashionable clothes, and also wrote a song called tabby cat. As a Japanese composer, he was the first person to adopt oratorio influenced by Schoenberg. Eve Buzhao is a modernist full of antagonistic spirit. He is influenced by Stravinsky, Ravel, Faria and Sadie. Dai later met him through his film work. It can be considered that from Ifukube and Hayakasaka, he was taught the spirit of doing things that no one has done before, and he must emphasize Japan's independence to go global. "
