Shi Mingsheng. The stone man who carved purple sand was originally named "Shi Ming" and was a scholar in Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty. His hometown is Shaoxing, Zhejiang, and he was influenced by the art of calligraphy and painting since he was a child. The founder of Shi Sheng carved purple sand is his uncle Shi Mingsheng, who is a senior producer and collector of purple sand.
