Buying more than 50 pieces of personal information may lead to conviction. Whoever illegally obtains, sells or provides more than 50 pieces of track information, communication content, credit information and property information can be convicted. According to Article 353 of the Criminal Law, the crime of illegally purchasing citizens' personal information, if the circumstances are serious, shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years or criminal detention, with or without a fine; If the circumstances are especially serious, he shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than three years but not more than seven years and shall also be fined. Generally, a fine of more than one time and less than five times the illegal income should be imposed. According to Article 253 of the Criminal Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), whoever, in violation of relevant state regulations, sells or provides citizens' personal information to others, if the circumstances are serious, shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years or criminal detention, and shall also or only be fined; If the circumstances are especially serious, he shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than three years but not more than seven years and shall also be fined.
