Xinxian County is the hometown of the Red Army and the cradle of generals. During the Second Revolutionary Civil War, it was the birthplace of Jute Uprising, the capital of Hubei, Henan and Anhui Soviet Area, the center of holding high the red flag of Dabie Mountain, and the foothold of Liu Deng's army leaping thousands of miles into Dabie Mountain.
