Up to now 1986 has been a researcher at the Institute of Biotechnology, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, director of the Laboratory of Crop Genetic Engineering, and director of the Academic Committee of the Key Open Laboratory of Crop Molecular Biology of the Ministry of Agriculture.
During the period of 1987- 1993, as an expert on China, I studied in the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology of the National University of Singapore for 4-6 months every year.
