Disadvantages of selective wave soldering
1, high purchase cost.

One reason is that the function of selective wave soldering is more complicated than ordinary wave soldering, so the machine structure will be more complicated and the manufacturing cost will be higher. Another reason is that the mainstream selective wave soldering is still an imported product. At the beginning of localization, there were only a few domestic companies (like Nitto, Jin Tuo, Essen Hengxin, etc. ) are doing it. The market demand is not big and the market competition is not strong.

2. Low utilization rate

Selective wave soldering has obvious advantages in solder joint quality control, but at the same time, compared with traditional wave soldering, it has obvious shortcomings in yield, because one nozzle can only weld one solder joint at a time. Although some machines now increase output by adding more nozzles, it is still an important shortage in output.
