17 commandos who took the lead in crossing the Dadu River in the Long March of the Chinese Red Army of Workers and Peasants. They are Xiong Shanglin, the second company commander of the Chinese Red Army of Workers and Peasants 1 Division 1 Regiment, Luo Huiming, the monitor of Class 3, Zhang, the soldiers Zhang Guicheng, Xiao Hanyao, Wang Huating, Liao Hongshan, Lai Qiufa, Zeng, Guo Shicang, the monitor of Class 4, and Zhang, the deputy monitor. 1935 In May, the Red Army advance team with Liu Bocheng as the commander and Nie as the political commissar successfully passed through the Yi area, forcing the Kuomintang troops to defend the weak areas of the Dadu River. On the evening of 24th, 1 regiment advance team 1 division 1 regiment marched 80km, arrived at Anshun Field on the right bank of Dadu River ahead of schedule, and hid in the nearby hills. That night, the regiment 1 battalion unexpectedly captured the Anshunchang ferry. When the flood surged, the depth of the Dadu River was swift, and the water surface of the ferry was about 300 meters wide. On the other side is the defense of Sichuan warlord troops. The regiment decided that the second company would organize commandos to carry out the storm crossing. On the morning of 25th, Xiong Shanglin, the second company commander, led a river-crossing commando, and with the cooperation of local boatmen Shuai Shigao, Wang Youneng, Jian and Zheng, braved the intensive firepower of the defenders on the other side by wooden boat and sailed to the other side against the rapids and dangerous waves. The wooden boat was washed to the shore hundreds of meters downstream by the rapids. After landing, 17 Red Army officers and men bravely seized fortifications along the river and took control of the ferry. Together with the officers and men of the Red Army who landed on the second ship, they defeated a battalion of the defenders of Anjingba, opening the way for the follow-up troops to cross the river. In order to commemorate the Red Army's battle on the Dadu River, the local people's government erected a monument for1May, 983, and Deng Xiaoping wrote the name of the monument.
