1994, graduated from philosophy department of Peking University, with a doctor of philosophy.

1999 —— In 2000, he was engaged in academic research in the departments of philosophy and politics of several German universities.

1September 1996 ——1February 1998, served as deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Tsinghua University College of Humanities and Social Sciences.

20011—— In March 2009, he served as the vice president of Tsinghua University College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and in 2003, he concurrently served as the director of the teaching department of ideological and political theory course.

May 20 13 served as the president of Tsinghua University Marxism research institute.
