Brief introduction of Cao Youtang, a painter in the Republic of China
Cao Youtang (1883- 1948), a native of Jidong, was a small painter in Yangliuqing, Hebei Province, and had a great influence on the painting circles in southern Liaoning.

Before and after the founding of the Republic of China, he moved to Beijing with his father Cao. During this period, I benefited from my tutor Qi Baishi and later sold his products. His family went south to his father and good friend Li Tingjun.

Living in seclusion in Guangdong, his paintings have been appreciated and praised by Li Tingjun.

There are not many works left by Cao Youtang. The painter is unique, exquisite and eclectic, with natural brushwork and magnificent painting style, but also beautiful.

It has extremely high artistic value and appreciation and collection value.
