Count jacques rogge (1May 2, 942-August 29, 20265438), born in Ghent, Belgium, is a Belgian plastic surgeon and has been the president of the International Olympic Committee since 200 1. In 2009, he was re-elected at the IOC/KOOC-0/2/KOOC-0/Plenary Session, and his term of office was extended to 20/KOOC-0/3 years. On September 2013 10, Rogge officially stepped down.

Rogge was elected president of the European Olympic Committee from 1989, and his influence in the international sports world rose rapidly. 199 1 was elected as a member of the IOC, and 1998 was elected as a member of the IOC executive Committee. Three years later, in July of 200/kloc-0, he became the eighth president of the IOC in Moscow. In 2000 and 2004, he served as the general coordinator of the Olympic Games.
