Review of Ji 'nan Campaign Films
During the China War of Liberation, the East China Field Army of the People's Liberation Army of China launched a large-scale campaign against Jinan, Shandong Province, which was heavily guarded by Kuomintang troops.

1948 autumn, after the Kuomintang army was forced to change "regional defense" to "key defense", Chiang Kai-shek ordered the commander of the second "appeasement zone" Wang and his men to stick to Jinan, and concentrated three mobile regiments170,000 men in Xuzhou and its vicinity, waiting for an opportunity to help the north. Jinan is the intersection of Jinpu and Ji Jiao railways, with the Yellow River in the north and Mount Tai in the south. The terrain is dangerous, easy to defend but difficult to attack. The second "appeasement zone" takes the inner city of Jinan as the core defensive position, the outer city and commercial port as the basic positions, and the peripheral counties and towns and commanding heights of Jinan constitute the peripheral positions. Many permanent and semi-permanent fortifications are built on each position, forming a support point that can fight independently. The concentration of troops is about 1 10000. The Central Military Commission of the Communist Party of China (CPC) ordered the East China Field Army to capture Jinan, and at the same time prepared to attack the Kuomintang troops of Xuzhou reinforcements to the north. The East China Field Army then concentrated its forces and formed two regiments, siege and Dayuan, under the unified command of Su Yu, the acting commander and acting political commissar. The siege corps consisted of about 6.5438+0.4 million people, under the unified command of Xu, commander of Shandong Corps, Tan Zhenlin, deputy political commissar of East China Field Army and Shandong Corps, and deputy commander. The aid corps is about 6.5438+0.8 million people, directly under the command of the Field Army Command. After the siege corps launched an attack on the evening of September 16, it quickly broke through the outer defense line of Jinan. After eight days and nights of fierce fighting, on September 24th, the Kuomintang defenders in the inner city (1 Army Uprising) were completely annihilated, and Wang, commander of the second "appeasement area", Mou Zhongheng, deputy commander, and Pang Jingtang, chairman of the Shandong Party Department of the Kuomintang, were captured. In the battle of Jinan, more than 0/04000 Kuomintang troops (20000 people in internal uprising) were annihilated, 23 senior generals of Kuomintang troops were captured, more than 800 guns, 20 tanks and 238 armored vehicles were seized. The victory of Jinan campaign connected the two liberated areas in North China and East China, which dealt a heavy blow to the confidence of Kuomintang troops in sticking to big cities and tempered and improved the PLA's ability to fight tough battles.
