The author of Silent Farewell is Wang Tianning,1born in June, 1993 in Jinan, Shandong. A post-90s writer, the winner of four consecutive new concept composition competitions, and the winner of the 20 14 Bingxin Children's Literature New Works Award.
The inspiration for this book comes from the story that Wang Tianning's grandfather told him about studying in Jinan during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period. He was particularly moved after listening to it. He thought it was good creative material, so he asked grandpa to sort out these stories.
Grandpa was very supportive of Wang Tianning's literary creation, so he recorded these stories in the form of memoirs, and the original skeleton of the novel was formed. On the basis of this skeleton, Wang Tianning added flesh and blood. Compared with the war itself, Wang Tianning pays more attention to the emotions and growth process of the characters. Because characterization must be based on War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, there are such works.
