Zhang Xingxing was born in April 1955. Graduated from China Renmin University, Ph.D., professor. He is currently the deputy director of the Institute of Contemporary China. Executive Director and First Deputy Secretary-General of the National History Society of the People's Republic of China, and Executive Director of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Literature Research Association. Member of the Ethnic and Religious Committee of the 13th China People's Political Consultative Conference. He used to be a member of the Fifth Council of the Chinese Communist Party History Society, a member of the China Military Science Society, and the Secretary-General of the Military Political Work Branch. He is currently the deputy director of the Institute of Contemporary China of China Academy of Social Sciences, the executive director and the first deputy secretary-general of the National History Society of the People's Republic of China.
