At the beginning of the book, it is mentioned that Ge Hong got a "true book" and a "true record" when he met King Taizhen of Du Xuan in the Luofu Mountain at night. Zhen Jing mainly tells the creative experience of Yuan Zhen Wang. Known as the beginning of the world, Pangu was named king of the Yuan Dynasty and experienced various disasters. Dong and the Queen Mother of the West were born after they became attached to the jade girl in Taiyuan, and the three emperors and five emperors were their descendants. Zhen Ji mainly describes the position, name and place of the immortals in the sky. The immortals recorded in the book began with Yuan Haowen, Wang Dong, the Queen Mother of the West, father-in-law Guangcheng and other ancient true immortals, and went down to emperors and sages such as Five Emperors and Three Kings, Emperor Gaozu, Emperor Guangwu, and Taoist figures such as Zhang Daoling, Wang Zideng, Xu Laile, and Mrs. Wei, and finally ended up with Taoist priests and Xu Yufu in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. The content of the second half is basically the same as that of Liang Tao Hongjing's true patent and true spiritual career map.
