Du Jinfang attached great importance to Ding Xiaojun and Dou Xiaoxuan. They are Du Jinfang's private disciples. At the end of 1949, under the recommendation of Wang Yaoqing, he studied under Mei Lanfang in Shanghai and was carefully taught by Mr. Mei Lanfang. With the help of famous Peking Opera artists such as Tan, Yang, Li, Li, Li and Li, he gradually formed an artistic style with both graceful beauty and rigidity.
