Labrang Temple is a transliteration of Tibetan word "Zhang Qiang", which means the residence of the living Buddha master. It is located in Xiahe County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province. The Tibetan full name is: "Gadan Zhuxia Daji Tashi Yisu has a post", which means that the right-handed temple is blessed and talks about repairing. Labrang Monastery is one of the six major monasteries of Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism, and is praised by the world as "the world's Tibetan learning institution".
Historically, Labrang Temple has 108 monasteries, which is the political and educational center of southern Jiangxi. Labrang Monastery retains the best teaching system of Tibetan Buddhism in China. The oldest and only existing Buddhist temple in the whole temple, which was built during the period of the first living Buddha statue of the Lady Dowager, is the Buddhist temple of the next continuation college next to the Dajingtang. 2. Murals
