Its complete sentence is a couplet written by Zhang Peng for the ancestral hall of Su surname: "A father and son say three words, and four people write articles through the ages." The couplet called "Su San" both an essayist and a poet.
The word "father and son" refers to Su Shi's Meishan Susan Temple, namely Su Xun, Su Shi and Su Zhe (Su Shi is the brother). The four great figures in the bottom allied league refer to: North Korea, Liu, Europe and the Soviet Union. (Han Yu and Liu Zongyuan in Tang Dynasty, Ouyang Xiu and Su Shi in Northern Song Dynasty).
Some people refer to Ouyang Xiu, Su Shi, Wang Anshi and Huang Tingjian, as well as Ouyang Xiu and Su San in the Song Dynasty. Up to now, there is no definite answer, but most of the recognized answers are Han Yu, Liu Zongyuan, Ouyang Xiu and Su Shi.
