Chen Bowen (1916.4-2010.2), a native of Shimenqiao Town, Renqiu City, Hebei Province, joined the revolutionary work in June and joined China in October. During War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression's period, he served as a learning staff officer in the Staff Office of a certain department of the Eighth Route Army 120 Division, the chief of civil affairs in Yongqing County, Hebei Province, and the chief of civil affairs in Lianhe County, Shanxi-Chaji and Longchongchi. In June, he served as the director of the office of the CPC Zhangbei Working Committee 1945, and the county magistrate of the anti-Japanese democratic government in Zhangbei County. During the War of Liberation, 1945 served as the county magistrate of Zhangbei County and the captain of the county brigade in September, 1947 10 served as the county magistrate of kangbao county, 1947 served as the director of the anti-smoking bureau of Chabei Administrative Office in Jirecha District in July, and 1948 served as the county magistrate of Duolun County in April. After the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC), he served as secretary of the Chahar provincial government, director of Zhangjiakou flour mill, deputy director of the Municipal Industry Bureau, director of the Urban Construction Bureau, deputy director of the Planning Commission, and director of the regional party history office. Comrade Chen Bowen abandoned his pen to join the army from his youth and devoted himself to the cause of national liberation against the Japanese aggressors. 1August, 945, appointed by Pingbei District Committee, participated in Zhangbei County, which was liberated by Su Meng, and contributed to the construction of Chabei base area. In June, 1946, 10 led Zhangbei County Brigade to participate in Zhangbei Defence War. In the situation of disparity between the enemy and ourselves (15 to 1), it broke through to cover the leadership of Chabei District Committee and injured its leg. 1On the eve of Liaoshen Campaign in April, 948, he participated in the deployment and liberation of Duolun Campaign, wiped out more than 2,000 enemy troops, connected Jireza and Jireliao, and connected the two major regions (North China, Northeast China) and the two provinces (Jehol and Chahar), which opened the way militarily.
