The origin of linzi's name
Linzi, formerly known as Yingqiu, was renamed as Linzi by Qi Xiangong because it is adjacent to the Zihe River in the east. Linzi has a long history, and the Taikoo Taihao Fuxi family rose in the State of Qi. It is also the ancient ruins of the Levin family in Zhuan Xu, one of the Five Emperors. In Shao Hao's world, the pigeon tribe with birds as its totem lives here. During the Yu Shun period, there was a tribe named Ji who lived here. During the Yin and Shang Dynasties, a family named Jiang lived here. At the end of Shang Dynasty, there lived a Pugu family here. BC 1046, Zhou Wuwang overthrew the Shang Dynasty and established the Zhou Dynasty. In the second year, he was appointed as a businessman of Qi State. The Zhou Dynasty established the State of Qi and ruled Yingqiu. It was passed on to the sixth generation Hu Gongjing, who was forced to move his capital to Bo Gu (now Boxing County) to avoid Lion's invasion from the east. In 859 BC, King Xian of VII led the Yingqiu people to kill his younger brother Gong Hu and returned to Yingqiu. Because of Linzi water, it was renamed Linzi. Since then, Linzi has been the capital of Qi State for 638 years.
