From 1982, Qiu Xiaojun was hired by Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau as a member of Shaanxi Cultural Relics Appraisal Group. Later, he was hired by China Cultural Relics Headquarters, National Cultural Heritage Administration, General Administration of Customs and Shaanxi Wenbo Cadre Training Center as an ancient ceramics appraisal lecturer. Since serving as the head of the purchasing department of the cultural relics store, he has identified tens of thousands of precious cultural relics such as bronzes, ancient ceramics, ancient jade, rubbings, calligraphy and painting, and miscellaneous antiques.
