Zhouning county (formerly Ningde County, Funing Prefecture) belongs to Ningde City, Fujian Province, and is located in the northeast of Fujian Province, between 26 53'-2719' north latitude and119 06'-19 29' east longitude. Fu 'an in the east, Zhenghe in the west, Shouning in the north, Ningde in the southeast and Pingnan across the river in the southwest. The total land area is 1035 square kilometers.

1September, 1955, Shouning county administered the sixth district (now Chunchi Township, Siqiao Township1/administrative village) with an area of 278.7 square kilometers, which was placed under the jurisdiction of zhouning county, and the county area increased to 1046 square kilometers.

Since July 1970, it has been transferred to Ningde area (now Ningde city).
