Ma Chi, 1942, a native of Dongshan Island, Fujian Province, was the first chairman of Zhangzhou Longhai Calligraphers Association. Modesty, simple style and rigorous scholarship, he is a famous and widely loved powerful painter and calligrapher. His calligraphy art has a unique personal style, which is called "Ma Chi style".
