200 1 The World Buddhist Association led a one-member delegation to visit China with Dr. Pan Waniti, President of the World Buddhist Association as the head. Most visiting leaders of the World Buddhist Federation are visiting China for the first time. The delegation visited Beijing, Xi, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other places successively, and had friendly exchanges with Buddhist people in these places. Director Ye Xiaowen of the State Administration for Religious Affairs and Vice President Jing Hui of the Chinese Buddhist Association met with the delegation respectively. After attending the Asian Peace Conference, Dao, vice president of the Chinese Buddhist Association, returned from Indonesia and made a special trip to Guangdong to visit the delegation. Participants believed that China is an influential country with the largest number of Buddhists in the world, and the Buddhist community in China should play a more important role in the world. In 2002, the World Buddhist Federation awarded Zhao Puchu the "highest medal of honor". In 2008, Mr. Palo, Secretary General of the World Buddhist Association, was invited to pay a goodwill visit to Beijing. He also attended the 60th anniversary celebration of the 25th World Buddhist Association held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and the unveiling ceremony of Faxian Studio of Sri Lanka Buddhist Television. Since the establishment of the World Buddhist Association, all Buddhists in China have participated. Since its establishment more than 60 years ago, it has played an important role in contacting the world Buddhist community. Today, with the reform and opening up in China, we are entering a new historical period. The 27th General Assembly of the World Buddhist Federation will be held in China, which will certainly promote the development of Buddhism in China and help Buddhism in China go global.
