Peng Zhibin, Associate Research Fellow, MPH Tutor, China Center for Disease Control and Prevention. In 2003, he graduated from peking university health science center with a bachelor's degree in medicine, and in 2006, he graduated from peking university health science center with a master's degree in epidemiology and health statistics. His research interests mainly include prevention and control of respiratory infectious diseases, disease burden and evaluation of intervention measures.
In addition, Peng Zhibin is also the head of Sub-project 3 of the Sino-US CDC Cooperation Project in the Office of Infectious Diseases Management of China CDC, the head of the influenza vaccine working group of the National Immunization Planning Technical Working Group, and a member of the WHO COVID-19 Evolutionary Technical Advisory Working Group (TAG-VE). At the same time, he is also the communication editorial board of the Journal of Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases.
Peng Zhibin's Achievements
Peng Zhibin has made important contributions in the field of infectious disease prevention and control. Participated in a number of domestic and foreign cooperation projects and accumulated rich experience in monitoring and preventing respiratory infectious diseases. The research team led by him played an important role in the prevention and control of epidemic situation in COVID-19, participated in the formulation of a number of relevant policies and technical programs, and provided strong support for the prevention and control of epidemic situation in China.
At the same time, Peng Zhibin has also made outstanding contributions to the prevention and control of vaccine-preventable diseases. He participated in the global vaccination monitoring project and deeply studied the vaccination policies and implementation in different countries, which provided an important reference for the global vaccination work. In addition, Peng Zhibin also participated in a number of national immunization programs, which provided strong support for improving the coverage and quality of vaccination.
