Peng Zhibin received a bachelor's degree in medicine in 2003 and a master's degree in 2006. He is the editorial board of the journal of tuberculosis and lung disease.

His research interests mainly include prevention and control of respiratory infectious diseases, disease burden and evaluation of intervention measures.

In addition, Peng Zhibin is also the head of Sub-project 3 of the Sino-US CDC Cooperation Project in the Office of Infectious Diseases Management of China CDC, the head of the influenza vaccine working group of the National Immunization Planning Technical Working Group, and a member of the WHO COVID-19 Evolutionary Technical Advisory Working Group (TAG-VE). At the same time, he is also the communication editorial board of the Journal of Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases.
