[Shanghai] My failed IKEA trade interview

Last month, I saw IKEA recruiting BD (Business Developer). Because a friend applied for a job before, but it didn't succeed, I was curious and made a resume. I didn't expect to be asked for an interview the next day I had my own business to do, so I didn't take it seriously. I mainly want to talk to them and see what this job is for and whether IKEA trade is good or not.

Go there the next afternoon. The elevator has been waiting for 10 minutes, and it will be late.

I ran to their human resources department, and the lady who contacted me was not there. Another lady in their department asked me to fill out an information form. There were some questions on it, and I filled it out quickly.

Then I took a piece of paper. There are many words on both sides. I chose my own description in the front, followed by others' description of you. This is the legendary' personality test'.

Those teachers asked me to do these things in previous training. To tell the truth, I personally disapprove of them. Hundreds of words let you choose quickly, that is, let you do it twice in a row, and the final choice is different. Does this mean that you have a dual personality?

I told the young lady at that time, is it necessary to fill in this? She was surprised and said that you applied for Maersk? I said no.

Moreover, the assessment criteria of the two HR departments are the same. I quickly wrote some to her. I wonder what kind of personality that lady thinks I am?

About this time, the lady who contacted me yesterday came in, so I went to another small room to interview her.

Introduce your routine, work experience and so on in English. English was my previous working language, so I think it should not be a problem.

After about five or six minutes, she suggested that we could talk in Chinese. And asked a lot of questions. I used to be a salesman, so asking questions should be my strong point. Basically, I know everything I want to know. After talking for 1 several hours, the talks ended in a friendly and harmonious atmosphere. She offered to talk to their foreign boss again so that she wouldn't have to go there again next time. I think this at least shows that this interview is quite successful.

After a while, she came back and said that their boss is not available now. Let's make an appointment next week.

I haven't heard from you for a week since I came back. I was too busy with my own business to take it to heart. It suddenly occurred to me about last week. I have seen the desk calendar for almost a month. I think you should at least send me a rejection notice.

I don't know if I have applied for a friend in IKEA trade, but I won't give you any news, which means I turned you down. I think it's a little too mild. At least I should give you an answer. I feel depressed. . . ;
