Mainly engaged in the metabolism and early prevention of chronic renal failure, as well as drug nephrotoxicity, tubulointerstitial diseases, electrolyte metabolism and other aspects of research. It is reported for the first time in China that essential amino acids and α -keto acid are used to treat renal renal failure, as well as type ⅳ renal tubular acidosis, Legionnaires' disease complicated with acute renal failure, acute nephritis and bloody interstitial pneumonia, which has played a positive role in improving the diagnosis and treatment level of renal diseases in China.

1980 Up to now, he has published more than 260 papers, edited 2 monographs, translated the famous medical book Kang Modern Therapeutics, and won the scientific research achievement award of China Academy of Medical Sciences. It is one of the main achievements of the national key projects during the Eighth Five-Year Plan.
