Cheng (19 17- 1993), a native of Jinan, Shandong Province, moved to Beijing with his grandparents and parents at the age of 8. The middle school studied in Yu Ying School, a missionary school, and later entered the Department of Education in yenching university, focusing on rural education. During my school days, I was active in thinking and inclined to progress, and took the initiative to help students who dropped out of school and went to the mainland to participate in the Anti-Japanese War.
