Character brief introduction: namely Qing Dezong, emperor of Qing Dynasty. Yi Xuan, the prince of alcohol, whose mother was Empress Dowager Cixi, died in December of the thirteenth year of Tongzhi. She was decided by Cixi and was succeeded by Wenzong. The following year, it was changed to Guangxu, and Empress Dowager Cixi "listened to politics". The thirteenth year of Guangxu was called pro-government, and Empress Dowager Cixi still controlled everything. In the thirty-fourth year and twenty years of Guangxu reign, the Sino-Japanese War broke out and was defeated by Japan, which made him determined to strive for self-improvement. In twenty-four years, Kang Youwei and others carried out the New Deal and issued an imperial edict, which was called the Reform Movement of 1898. In the same year, he was imprisoned by Empress Dowager Cixi, and the political reform failed. In twenty-four years, he died the day before the death of the Queen Mother.
