New technologies for purifying and refining metal melt and preparing gradient composite materials were developed, including external electromagnetic field and strong electric pulse treatment technology, and the preparation technology of reactive composite ceramic coating was developed. At present, the research on eco-processing technology of materials, including high performance, long life and waste reuse, is being actively carried out. He has published more than 50 papers 150 in academic journals at home and abroad, and applied for more than 60 patents, including 54 authorized patents. In 2005, he won the first prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award (technical invention) ("Research on aluminum continuous electromagnetic purification system") and the second prize of national technical invention ("aluminum liquid purification and aluminum alloy pressure-resistant shell manufacturing technology") in 2006. In 2005, he was selected into the New Century Excellent Talents Support Program of the Ministry of Education, and in 2006, he was selected into the Shuguang Program of the Shanghai Education Commission. In 2008, he was selected as an outstanding academic leader of Shanghai Science and Technology Commission and SMC scholar of Shanghai Jiaotong University. He is currently the director of the Youth Committee of China Materials Society.
