Dalian University of Technology, referred to as Dagong, is located in Dalian and Bincheng. The school was founded in April of 1949, and Dalian University was founded in July of 1950. The school is independent of Dalian University of Technology. 1988 changed its name to its current name in March. As of May, 20 14, the school has formed a school-running pattern of one school, two places (Dalian and Panjin) and three districts (Dalian Lingshui main campus, development zone campus and Panjin campus), with a total area of 4.332 million square meters and a building area of1548 million square meters. 2065438+February 2006, the list of China Top 100 Universities was released, and Dalian University of Technology ranked 29th. 2065438+September 2 1, in 2007, the Ministry of Education released the list of "double first-class" universities, and Dalian University of Technology was selected.
From 1948 to 1952, Dalian Institute of Technology has introduced nearly 100 patriotic scholars at home and abroad. Among them are Wang (a famous nuclear physicist and the father of China's atomic bomb), Zhang (a famous physical chemist and one of the founders of China's catalytic science), Qian Lingxi (an educator and the founder of China's computational mechanics), Wu Shishu (a theoretical physicist), Bi Dexian (an electronic scientist) and Yang Wei (a marine engineering expert). Famous scholars Hou (dye chemist), (physicist) and Lin (chemical expert) have established eight departments, including mathematics department, physics department, telecommunications department, electrical engineering department, water conservancy department, chemical engineering department, shipbuilding department, machinery department and scientific research institute.
