At the end of 2003, I began to study with Professor Cao Xiaoqing. In May 2005, she was admitted to the accordion major in the middle school attached to the Central Conservatory of Music with the first place in her major, and she embarked on the road of professional study. In September 2009, Xu Xiaonan was admitted to the accordion major of the Piano Department of the Central Conservatory of Music with 582 points in the college entrance examination and excellent results in professional walks, and continued to study under Professor Cao Xiaoqing. He is an outstanding performer who has achieved the best results in the world at present in China, adding a lot of color to the world accordion history.

It is particularly worth mentioning that Xu Xiaonan won the World Cup in the 65th World Cup Accordion Championship, one of the major international events encouraged and rewarded by the Ministry of Culture of China. This is the first time that China has won the World Cup since the first accordion World Cup on 1938 in 75 years. Similarly, Xu Xiaonan won the first place in the artists' group in the 6 1 World Accordion Championship, which is the first time that China people have won the highest-level group crown since the establishment of 195 1.

His accordion solo works "Song of Spring", "Variations on Guerrilla Songs" and chamber music works "The Story of Autumn Leaves" (for accordion, guitar and violin) were selected as "New Accordion Works in China" (the CD has been included in the "Twelfth Five-Year" national key audio-visual publishing plan).

In 2008, China Records Shenzhen Company recorded and published his first solo album Sunrise with the free bass accordion.
