On the Writer of The Magic Prince
Text | Screenwriter: Sanxian

Hello, everyone, this may be the last time Xiao Sanzi chats with you. I think everyone must have had enough of Xiao Sanzi's poison these years, and everyone can finally breathe a sigh of relief. Well, wipe away the vague tears when leaving, and finally the writers are flying all over the sky. According to the past, gossip first, okay? Peer: It is a kind of cowardice to face life with a fixed behavior pattern. Can repeating the same behavior really make people happy? Is it? Buddha, what are you doing here? Bian Xiao: Hey! You must have the wrong number. That's a mysterious sound, not the sound of strings. Change it back quickly. Well, there will always be some mistakes in life. Errors are part of our lives. Why should we rush to cover them up or correct them? But that sentence makes sense. Every time I gossip, isn't that restricted by gossip? So Xiao Sanzi stopped gossiping today. Straight to the point. The character I want to tell you today is the magic prince. In fact, the prince is very unique to Xiao Sanzi. In fact, before I started writing this role, Xiaosanzi's resignation had already been sent. This role can be said to be my personal farewell work, and there is no strict definition. Or so to speak, because Xiao Sanzi put down a lot of experimental things in this role, and he is not afraid of being torn apart by his boss anyway (laughs). When writing the Buddha's prison, Xiaosanzi designed a character who was sealed by the cursed Lord and was also the king's own son. I asked my boss, I have two choices: a saint who will be perfect and beautiful, and an eccentric and absolutely unpredictable anomaly? The boss chose the latter, and he wanted an anomaly that even the king had to seal. Then there is his sub-body setting. Red-eye character is a compromise I made after thinking about various conflicts. If I don't intend to leave my job, the relationship between Red Eye and the prince will not be as it is now, but will be more complicated and confusing. By the way, the shape of the red eye is somewhat similar to the shape of the Saint Prince I expected at first. Screenwriter Hachi feels sorry for this. She said that I wrote many kinds of eccentric people, but I didn't write any saints except the Buddha sword. This is my work eight years ago. So I hope I can write a saint before I leave. All right, let's start with the theme. Mysterious voice: theme? Are you sure you believe what you said? Or are you just looking for a great reason to pack your nonsense?

Although the mystery is very noisy, I have to say, who says that the author must believe before he can state anything? A whimsy, a fantasy, a fantasy, a dream, are enough to achieve a story, a role, a journey or a … messy and absurd event. If the author must believe what he says, then the author in The Journey to the West must take pleasure in cruelty to animals. Look how many protected animals he killed on the way to learn from the scriptures. A man told me that he thinks the prince is like a mirror, so he can look at it whatever you think. I smiled, which is really the most subtle metaphor I think. The role of prince is enough to make people love and hate. I want to give the audience a different feeling. Looking at this person from all angles and directions will get different answers. His name is just what I expected. The magic prince is deep. When you stare into the abyss, the abyss stares at you.

It is estimated that many netizens will come to my blog and ask me what the prince thinks. In this regard, I borrow a sentence from the prince: If you know what the prince is thinking, please tell me, because I also want to know. But is it important to know what the prince is thinking? It's not that important. In real life, we always guess what all kinds of people think, but in fact, many times, we are all wrong. Ok, continue to pull back to the prince, Ningyuan, abyss, abyss is a hole, what is a hole? Nothing, it's a depression, it doesn't exist, but when we zoom into a universe, we will find that there are so many stars, but in the universe, the biggest existence is "non-existence". If the stars are floating granular dust, the whole universe is the biggest abyss. It's like having a few pimples. If we make a comparison between existence and non-existence, put all the things that exist in this universe together, and then compare this universe, what is the matter that exists? Still no nothingness?

But subtly, limited by subjective thoughts, we regard what exists as the main body, and destroying what exists becomes destruction. So after digging a big piece of mud in the ground, we said, there is a hole here. But is the nothingness of this hole destroyed, occupied and appeared on this ground, or is the ground destroyed, occupied and appeared on the whole nothingness? After reading this passage, if you can understand it, congratulations, you are one step closer to the prince, and you can get a reward: moths fight against fire and empty evil. Bian Xiao: this is moth's thirst for fire. Look at the beginning of the sword ... that's not the point. The point is that it is a part of the prince, but since I wrote it in space, the prince is actually empty. How do you take out a part of an empty thing? Therefore, the discussion just now does not exist and does not belong to any part of the prince. What's more, today's scriptwriter ramble is a philosophical ramble, isn't it ... According to this principle, the prince's heart is nothing, it doesn't come from loneliness, childhood memory, education or psychological trauma, but is born and primitive. If you have read the original novel, it is similar to Kazuo Kiriyama's Carelessness. The difference is that Kazuo Kiriyama is an acquired trauma and indifferent, while the prince is congenital and enlightening. The prince rejects everything that is created and exists, whether it is tangible material or intangible rules. He mocked, despised, destroyed and destroyed them. Do you want to say that he is happy about it? No, he's not even happy. Do you think he is really annoying? He doesn't even hate it. That has nothing to do with him. Will he want to create a world he wants with his own ideas? No, he doesn't care about the existence of others at all. What those people think has nothing to do with him. The audience may ask, what is the purpose of his doing these things? Oh, guess what the prince would say? Guess there is a prize, a ticket to visit the fallen paradise, which will make you linger, and no one who goes in can get out.

As for why I made up my mind to write about the prince, the cause probably dates back to more than a year ago. I met an opera fan on the Internet. Now he can be said to be my cherished friend and relative. He has a wide range of knowledge and contacts, and chatting with him is a very interesting experience. We talked a lot about politics, philosophy, society, outlook on life and so on. Once I talked with him about moral issues and mentioned the original taboo about brother and sister. Which is the source problem. In that discussion, I used my meager knowledge to analyze many moral traditions and the reasons for the existence of various human emotions with him, and also talked about related topics along the way.

There are dozens of hours. In less than a week, I saved more than three new MSN conversation files. During the discussion, I told the story of five monkeys, which I think many people have heard. I extracted it directly from the internet: put five monkeys in a cage with a bunch of bananas on it, and the experimenter installed an automatic device. Once it is detected that a monkey has a banana, water will be sprayed into the cage immediately, and all five monkeys will be soaked. First, a monkey goes to get bananas. Of course, the result was that every monkey got wet. After several attempts, every monkey reached a consensus: don't take bananas to avoid being sprayed by water. Later, the experimenter released one of the monkeys and replaced it with a new monkey A. This monkey A saw the banana and wanted it immediately. I was beaten by four monkeys. Because the other four monkeys thought monkey A would make them get wet, they stopped him from taking bananas. A tried several times, but still didn't get the banana wrapped in steamed bread. Of course, these five monkeys were not sprayed by water. Later, the experimenter released an old monkey and replaced it with another new monkey B. This monkey B saw the banana and couldn't wait to get it. Of course, the other four monkeys also gave B a good beating. In particular, Monkey A beat him very hard (this is called an old soldier bullying a new recruit, or a daughter-in-law getting married). B Monkey tried several times and was always badly beaten, so he had to give up. Later, all the old monkeys were replaced by new monkeys, and everyone was afraid to touch bananas. But they don't know why, except that bananas will be squashed when they move. This is the origin of "tradition". Tradition has no value unless it is reflected. This is probably the story, so I won't elaborate on other discussions. I will simply summarize it in the following sentence. Are you sure that every idea you believe can really find a reason to believe him? This problem does not need to be explained to anyone, only to yourself. So the prince who challenged this idea was finally born. Well, because the prince's creative process is very complicated, Xiao Sanzi will stop here today. Next time the screenwriter rambles, we will continue to talk about other parts of the prince, er ... if he has other parts. What? When you said I started, didn't you say that this was the last time Xiao Sanzi wrote random conversations? You should believe me, not what I said. Above, over! Text | Screenwriter: Sanxian

Last time Xiaosanzi talked about the origin of the creation of "The Magic Prince", the masses said that they were very moved, because they had never seen such a person who would cheat the manuscript fee for a long time. I said a lot, but I didn't get to the point. Alas ~ really, everyone is too ignorant of Xiao Sanzi's painstaking efforts, and other roles are forgotten. A special character like the prince, of course, needs to spend more time explaining his origins. Ok, let's continue to cheat the manuscript fee. ...

Before getting into the topic of prince, let me say that many people have come to my blog to ask about the relationship between prince and red eye, and the relationship between red eye and flying heron.

Dramatically, the relationship between Red Eye and Prince is like Apollo and Dionysus in Greek mythology. One represents calmness, composure, steadiness and temperance, and the other represents madness, impetuousness, nothingness and indulgence. Such a combination is not uncommon in drama. Usually, in addition to reciprocity, there are various combinations of opposites, auxiliary relationships and so on. Interested people can study which novels, plays and movies are handled in this way, and Xiaosanzi will not give an example.

Another question that many people ask is the relationship between Chiyan and flying heron. For Chi Yan, the flying heron is a kind girl he met, which is an episode. Also let the audience know the other side of red eye in getting along with people other than the magic prince. For red eye, the flying heron may not be important enough to shake his mind, but he doesn't want to see the flying heron get hurt, otherwise he won't try to save him from the prince. As for why red-eye never mentioned flying herons in front of the magic prince? I don't think red eye is a wooden stick. He knows the prince better than anyone. What is the result after it is put forward? I think the audience must be very clear ~ when it comes to the magic prince, it is necessary to talk about the development of red eye, because the prince needs someone to talk to him. The prince is too vain and crazy. I don't believe anyone can follow him for long. Therefore, I can only talk to him with a pair of red eyes. Originally, red eyes expected counselors, military advisers, saints and other forms. Then I decided to let him follow the prince as a bystander. At first, Red Eye was cursed with the responsibility of monitoring the prince, but later Red Eye decided to see how Ning Yuan pushed himself into the abyss of self-destruction. Probably in the early days of Emperor Xiao, the two had such a conversation, to the effect that the red eye depends on how the prince is swallowed up by himself. But now the detailed collection number and content are buried in the old computer (silent). All right, let's go back to the prince. I have written about the elusive pseudo-mad dragon. He looks crazy, but he is more sober than anyone else. I have also written about the moody real madman who is mentally abnormal. Where is the prince? Is he sober or crazy? His disorientation is worse than the roaring sun and the raging dragon.

Because the prince's own actions have no direction, I can't write things and emotional turning points in a unified order according to my usual writing style. Boy, this guy is really an anomaly, even the author can't start. Ok, let's talk about the role of the prince in all aspects. The key to writing the prince mentioned last time is: "Are you sure of every idea you believe? Can you really find a reason to believe him?" If someone wants to ask himself this question, the first requirement is to be honest with himself, the second requirement is to delve into himself, and then the answer doesn't have to be explained to anyone, as long as he can answer it. In the play, the prince constantly provokes the target's values with words or actions, such as homosexual love for the cold and smoky scenery, loyalty to Jialing, Taigong's infatuation with the prince, self-reproach at the beginning of the sword, morality at the beginning of the sword, the sacrifice and final betrayal of the king warrior to the broken island, the self-esteem and pride of the military commander, Buddhism in Yungu Ruifeng and so on. I try to choose some popular and ubiquitous topics as my goals, but in fact, any topic is enough to write a novel or a movie or drama independently, such as the novel Lord of the Flies, which deeply discusses the bullying of school children and the darkness of human nature. The film about the relationship between revenge and criminals, the masterpiece "1984" describing political manipulation and autocratic rule, and so on.

The prince doesn't have much time to sort out these problems one by one. As we all know, his interest is short, and I didn't design a single goal at first.

"Absolute nothingness" is what a prince should do, so I use the method of clicking to let the prince use elegant figure and mocking lines. To refute each character's own beliefs. Because there are too many bridges, I don't want to give examples here. In fact, every topic should be discussed at the end, which is enough to write a long philosophical paper. However, the log is too thin and such content is too boring, so I'd better skip it. What kind of world does the prince expect? In the tone of a prince: "Expectation is just a dream. I thought I could change something, but nothing has changed. " The prince is a dreamer, not only in the sense, but also in the projection or reflection of reality, but the reality is nothingness and non-existent absurdity to the prince, and he will not dream even when he is asleep. Since there is no expectation, no joy, no anger, no sadness, no resentment, there is no satisfaction or dissatisfaction with reality. Then there is no need for such a prince to dream. To say that the prince still has feelings beyond the present is probably just an aversion to the world.

Yes, it's an aversion. In the eyes of the prince, the world is full of hypocrisy and shackles, but the trapped people are at a loss. He doesn't expect the world to wake up, he just wants to enjoy the end. To some extent, he is probably the executor of the doomsday carnival. However, did the prince really enjoy "happiness"? I think it is debatable that his happy time is very short, probably only the moment after his ingenious arrangement is finally completed. And after that? In the plot, he complained to Red Eye more than once that he was bored. As I have repeatedly stressed, the prince's heart is empty. No matter what emotions fall into it, only the slight sound of falling can be heard, but this emptiness cannot be filled. To some extent, the prince is the person with the highest emotional intelligence, because he is not angry, sad, crazy, jealous and has almost no negative emotions. Has anyone noticed? Every time the prince is hurt, he always laughs. The more injured he is, the louder he laughs, because the pain makes him feel "existing". He did have a "feeling" at that second. So he smiled, but the pain will disappear, and finally disappear, just as his happiness is short-lived. Some people say that the prince's pleasure is to manipulate people's hearts? This is not true. It is true that the prince is good at grasping human nature, but only because he knows human nature very well. Xiao Sanzi has read some books on religious speculation before, and the debates in the books are quite exciting. In fact, if you want to be a true anti-religious, you must thoroughly study and understand the teachings. Similarly, as an anti-moral prince, he also deeply understands the trend of human nature, so he can easily fight with Jia Ling, Murong Qing and Xiao Ri. Manipulating human nature is only a means to him, but not an end. Then what's his purpose? As the old saying goes, ask him. Even if the screenwriter rambles, not every question has an answer (smirk).

Prince's debut lines: I, the magic prince, represent XXXX. At first glance, this line seems to be just to spoof and curse the world. In fact, only when I made my debut for the first time, the Buddha Prison represented me, focused on me and emphasized the essence of the prince's "self". The use after each appearance represents the mood and environment of the prince at that time, and this design is also to highlight the capriciousness and uncertainty of the prince. And when he walked all the way to the end and confronted the beginning of the sword, he said, "I, the magic prince, I don't represent anything." Yes, since nothingness is the essence and eventually returns to nothingness, it doesn't mean anything. This is the conclusion of the magic prince. Or the conclusion of nihilists.

I used to use a lot of subtext when I wrote the marquis of Wu, but I used a lot of symbolic totems on the prince. If there is enough space, let's talk about it. If there is not enough space, let the audience guess for themselves. Let's start with a few obvious ones. Symbolic significance of moth: moth is a kind of pest, which sucks the sap of trees and causes diseases of trees. The symbols of the Fire House and the Buddha Prison are trees, huge supporting trees, complicated geographical environment, and Ju Mang (Wood God). The prince appeared as a symbol of a moth to the fire, and the beginning was a metaphor that he would eat up the Buddha's prison. And that's exactly how the plot developed. The prince really took the Buddha's prison as the object of his fun and swallowed it in one gulp. Another reason for choosing moths is to transform them into new forms. The meaning given by moths in the film The Red Dragon (the silent lamb prequel) is also the psychological meaning of my design.

Between pupa sleep: extending the idea of moth, pupa represents metamorphosis, new state, and new life is born from pupa? Or a monster? In fact, the life span of moths after metamorphosis is usually short. It can be said that after the moth metamorphoses, although its life is complete, it is also stepping into extinction, just as a feather man said, "eclosion is not a new life, but a deformation of death." Fallen paradise: will it be the fall to heaven, or the fall in heaven, or the paradise of the fallen? Or did it fall from the sky? Unfinished feathering, broken-winged angel statue: a stone statue built by a prince, a broken-winged prince. This stone statue shows that I gave my idea to a person who designed the scene, and she materialized my concept, and then the prop team carried it out. In the original design, the prince's arms were twisted and his upper body was slightly bent. The other arm is extended forward, the palm is down, the index finger is slightly bent, and the other four fingers are slightly bent. Here is a skeleton mountain, and a man climbed up the corpse mountain and reached out and touched the prince's finger. Hey ~ this action, I suddenly remembered the creation Adam in Genesis. This composition is admirable, but unfortunately it was cut off at the back because of insufficient production time. Imagine that. As for the meaning, I'll leave it to everyone to guess. Pain before the evil fire moves: as the prince said, exchange your own pain for the other party to get more pain. Of course, pain is also a way for a prince to feel his existence. It's an enhancement of my previous settings. Moth pupa, angel with broken wings, moth and evil fire, fallen angels, connect these together in series, or you can see the other side of the prince!
