Sun Xiyan focuses on undergraduate and postgraduate education and promotes teaching reform. Over the past five years, we have taught nearly 10 undergraduate and postgraduate courses, published 3 high-quality textbooks, and guided many students to enter world-class universities and leading enterprises in the industry for further study and employment. Sun Xiyan has been deeply involved in the space-time information field of Beidou for more than ten years, pushing Beidou technology to go abroad and actively serving the construction of the "Belt and Road".
Sun Xiyan insisted on scientific and technological innovation, invented the multi-dimensional accurate monitoring technology of Beidou disaster, and built the "China-ASEAN multilateral cooperation Beidou precision positioning and precision measurement application demonstration system".
It has been successfully applied to more than 20 industries such as geological disaster monitoring and early warning, and more than 500 monitoring stations have been set up at home and abroad, ensuring the safety of tens of millions of people's lives and property. He has won the honor of national March 8th Red Flag Bearer and Guangxi Excellent League Member.

In June, 2008, the National Astronomical Observatory of Chinese Academy of Sciences was a postdoctoral fellow.
