1943 graduated from the history department of Shanghai Guanghua College of Literature. The veteran of Shanghai Dream of Red Mansions, together with Deng Yunxiang, Xu Gongshi and Xu Fuming, is known as the four elders of Shanghai Dream of Red Mansions. Participated in revolutionary work from 65438 to 0944, and worked in finance in Shanghai from the late Anti-Japanese War to before liberation. He has been a staff member of Shanghai Zhong Yi Trust Company, a staff member of Shanghai Branch of People's Bank of China, a director of the reference room of Shanghai Writers Association and a research librarian. He is currently a member of the Chinese Writers Association, a researcher of the Shanghai Writers Association, a director of the National Dream of Red Mansions Society, a director of the China Literature Historical Materials Society, and a special editor of Japanese late Qing novel magazine. Published works 65438 to 0936. 1954 joined the Shanghai Writers Association at the beginning, and 1983 joined the Chinese Writers Association. Engaged in the research of literary historical materials for 44 years. In the 1990s, he was a visiting professor in the Department of Sinology at the University of Handburg, Germany.
