The Historical Evolution of Niuquan Town
The town is named after Dongniuquan Village, where the government is resident. According to Qin's genealogy, bamboo shoots were born in Zaoqiang County, Hebei Province during the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, and then moved to the village. There are springs in the east of the village. Shepherds often drive cows to drink water here, and some of them are redundant. They are called magical cows, so they are named Niu Wang Quan to make the village famous. Quan Wang, the East Bull, is named after the same name. Maobu, Nangong and Wennanbao belonged to Nanxiang in the late Qing Dynasty. In the early years of the Republic of China, it belonged to three districts (Wennan District) and ten districts (Luxi District). 1939- 194 1 year, successively subordinate to Lainan administrative office, Xintai county and Xinfu county. 1942 belongs to Wennan, Shengjing, Luxi and Yedian districts of Xinfu County. 1945 10 is called Shengjing District. 195 1 renamed the fifth district. 1955 was renamed Shengjing district. 1958 is divided into Niuquan Township and Shengjing Township. It governs three administrative regions: Dongniuquan, Xiniuquan, Maxiaozhuang, Yangxiaozhuang, Lvxiaozhuang, Zhuxiaozhuang, Hexiaozhuang, Jason Chung Zhuang, Renxiaozhuang, Wangxiaozhuang, Wuxiaozhuang, Majiazhuang, Nanliujiazhuang and Wuqiao. Shengjing Township covers an area of 88.93 square kilometers and has a population of 34,339. It has jurisdiction over Shengjing, Shimen, Xiangyang, Maoshengtang, Zhangjizhuang, Fengyizhuang, Guigelou, Jiangshan Hou, Qingshagou, Xinzhangzhuang, Jijiazhuang, Lujialou, Fengxuye, Zhongxuye, Nanxuye, Caojia, Liu Jia and Liu Jia. From June 5438 to February 2000, Shengjing Township was abolished and the administrative area was merged into Niuquan Town. 200 1, area 143. 18 square kilometers, population 75 160, governing 7 administrative districts, 69 administrative villages and 82 natural villages.
