Kaijia Huang's personal data
Kaijia Huang, a native of Zhenping, Guangdong Province, originally belonged to Chaozhou Prefecture, and was transferred to Jiaying Prefecture in the 11th year of Yongzheng (1733). Jia Kai's father, Huang Yuechuan, was from Chaoguan (now Shantou Customs). 1872, Jia Kai was selected as the first group of young children to go to the United States at the age of 13.

Jia Kai attended Hartford West Middle School and Hartford Public High School in Connecticut, and then attended Yale University. Unfortunately, due to the obstruction of the Qing court conservatives, Xi was recalled to China and became a dropout of Yale University.

After returning to China, Jia Kai successively served as Sheng Xuanhuai's secretary, minister of Westernization in the late Qing Dynasty, manager of China Merchants Bureau and general manager of the telegraph office, and helped Hong Rong translate the banking law, which shows that his knowledge and ability are extraordinary. Jia Kai once participated in the 1876 Centennial Expo in Philadelphia, USA. 1904, Jia Kai visited the United States with Plumbel, and served as the deputy director of the China Pavilion of the World Expo in St. Louis, USA, directly presiding over the opening and exhibition. At the dinner of the Expo, he gave a wonderful speech on the US policy of restricting the entry of China people. After the Russo-Japanese War, Jia Kai participated in the "Portland Peace Conference" as one of the representatives of China, and died in Japan on his way home.
