As of June 20 10, Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station has a total construction area of 440,000 square meters, of which the total construction area of the station building is about 240,000 square meters, and the railway passenger transport facilities such as waiting hall and ticketing hall are only145,000 square meters. Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station consists of main station building, canopy without platform columns, south-north auxiliary office building and station equipment. The station building adopts the on-line elevated waiting structure, and there are elevated drop-off platforms on the east and west sides.
