The desert sand is like snow, and the Yanshan moon is like a hook.

Don't be a golden brain, go and step on the clear autumn.

Wan Li in Pingsha is like a layer of white frost and snow in the moonlight. On the continuous Yanshan Mountains, a bright moon is in the sky, like a hook. Extended data

Brief introduction of the author

Li he (790 ~ 8 16), a poet in Tang dynasty, was born in Longxi. Li He is a distant relative of the imperial clan in the Tang Dynasty. His family background has long declined and his life is difficult. When he was a teenager, Li He was brilliant and studious, but some people were jealous of his talent and slandered his father as Jin Su, asking him to avoid his father and avoid being admitted to Jinshi. To this end, Han Yu once wrote a "Debate on Taboos" to refute rumors. However, Li He got the first place because of this, and only became a junior official with nine grades.

Li He's poems like to construct an illusory and blurred artistic realm with bold and bizarre imagination in fairy tales and ghost domains, and express the sentimental artistic conception of fleeting time. Because some of his works were gloomy, Li He was called "Shi Gui" by later generations.

Creation background

In the middle and late Tang Dynasty, when the author Li He lived, the separatist regime in the buffer region was so serious that the central government could do almost nothing. The Yanshan dynasty in the poem refers to the area where the buffer town in Youzhou, Hebei Province was ravaged the most. By reciting Malay, the author expressed his desire to make contributions and settle down, and at the same time expressed his resentment at his lack of talent.

works appreciation

This poem mainly uses metaphor to express feelings through Malay, and expresses the ability, ambition and feelings of talented people through chanting Malay.

The first two sentences of the poem describe the scenery rich in frontier characteristics and describe a quiet and vast picture. The Yanshan Mountains on the border are endless, and a bright moon hangs in the sky on a clear autumn night. The desolate desert Gobi-Ma Pingchuan is endless, and the gravel is as frost as snow in the moonlight, giving people a cold feeling. The "hook" in The Moon Is Like a Hook is a weapon. The image of weapons is associated with the crescent moon, which shows that this poem contains the author's inner activities of serving the country for the enemy. The battlefield environment is bad, but it is a place where heroes can play. The background description of these two sentences uses two metaphors, and at the same time leads to lyricism with scenery, and also uses the technique of "xing"

The last two sentences of the poem are expressive. The poet imagines when the war horse will be fully armed and well equipped to gallop on the battlefield and make contributions. Because the atmosphere was not peaceful at that time, the author was brilliant but unable to do so, hoping to make contributions without being appreciated, so the poem was full of melancholy and indignation, and also ambitious and eager to find his own place to use. "Golden Collar Brain" is a valuable ornament, symbolizing being reused. The word "dang" strongly conveys the poet's infinite hope. The sentence "Let's go quickly and set foot on the clear autumn" vividly highlights the elegance of a light and agile horse and expresses the author's feeling that it is not difficult to use the world to achieve far-reaching goals.

Idioms and their stories

The idiom "painstaking and solitary" is originally two words. The word "painstaking" comes from Li He's story, and the word "painstaking" comes from Han Yu's works.

Li He likes to write poems since he was a child, and often rides around on a donkey. When he saw a good theme, he immediately wrote it down as information, put it in his schoolbag with him, and then wrote a collection of poetry materials when he got home. His mother knew that his son's writing poetry was too hard and seriously damaged his health, so she said with concern, "It's a shame for his son to spit out his heart" (the child won't stop until he pours out his heart)!

"Bleeding" comes from Han Yu's Return to Pengcheng: "Take the liver as paper and the words as blood". It means cutting the liver to make paper, dropping blood to make ink and writing poetry.

People combine "painstakingly" and "painstakingly" to express their pains. Now it also refers to serious education, or painstaking study of science and technology and painstaking study of skills.
