The predecessor of Beijing Wushu Team is the Wushu Class of Beijing Amateur Sports School (now Beijing Shichahai Sports School). 197 1, martial arts class enrollment is the responsibility of coaches Wu Bin and Li Junfeng. At the beginning of the team building, all aspects of the conditions were extremely difficult. Eighty-nine athletes live in wooden houses, and Leng Xia is hot in winter. There is no decent training ground, concrete floor and swimming pool, and the players are sweating.

In order to bring out a first-class Wushu team for Beijing as soon as possible, two coaches, Wu Bin and Li Junfeng, carried out the guiding ideology of "teaching the pioneers of Wushu to be human beings" from the beginning of the team building, and carried out patient ideological education and strict team management for the athletes, so that all the players set up their ambition to become champions, and all of them had a training attitude that was not afraid of hardship. This good team spirit has continued to this day. Good team spirit has greatly improved the enthusiasm and consciousness of the players in training. A year later, in the National Wushu Invitational Tournament of 1975, the Beijing Wushu Team, which made its debut, shined brilliantly and won the men's and women's team championships in one fell swoop. From 1974 to 1986, except 1980, the whole team did not participate in the competition when they visited the United States. In all previous national Wushu competitions, Beijing Wushu Team won all the team championships. In addition, the team won the team championship in seven national Wushu invitational competitions and two exhibition competitions from 1978 to 1985. 12 won 358 individual medals, including 8 1 gold medals, and only won 14 gold medals in the 5th National Games 1983, which made the opponent incomparable.

After coach Wu Bin took office, he led the coach, team leader and team members in a hard struggle to turn losses into profits. Grasp management, team spirit, training and basic skills ... After a winter training, the whole team has taken on a new look. In the 1994 national Wushu championship, he won the men's and women's team championship and the 16 individual championship, which once again showed his former glory. At this time, Wu Bin showed extraordinary pioneering spirit and foresight. He is not satisfied with his present achievements. In order to complete the task of the Eighth National Games entrusted by the Sports Commission, he began to recruit talents everywhere. Liaoning athletes Liu Qinghua and Jian Zengjiao; Jiang Bangjun, member of Shenyang Institute of Physical Education; Excellent athletes such as Zuo Juan and Han Jing, students of Beijing Sport University, were admitted by him. After the Eighth National Games, the team was adjusted, and Shi Kun and Zhao Qingjian were introduced from Wuhan Institute of Physical Education. After a period of hard work, the Beijing Wushu Team won 162 points for the Beijing delegation at the 9th National Games.
In the past 29 years, the Beijing Wushu Team has made great achievements and talented people come forth in large numbers. He has won nearly 20 national Wushu championships for men and women and nearly 200 national gold medals.
