It is a power plant (now split and reorganized into three independent units: Datang Pingdian, Datong Thermal Power and Jinneng Thermal Power) and two power plants. The first power plant supplies power to Datong.

Datong No.2 Power Plant

Shanxi Datong No.2 Power Plant, which belongs to Guodian Electric Power Company, is the main power plant to transmit electricity from west to east in China. Mainly responsible for the transmission of high-quality electricity to the capital Beijing. It has been built for 20 years, with an average annual power generation of more than 7 billion kilowatts, which has made great contributions to the capital construction and national economic development. Power generation enterprises have the characteristics of high technology concentration. In daily production, a large number of technicians have discovered and summarized a large number of new mechanical working principles and methods, which have been well applied in production practice, thus summing up a large number of new technologies and processes that adhere to "quality first, service integrity, continuous improvement and customer first".
