Chen Shuxiang Martyrs Memorial Hall is located in Meihua Town, Dao County, Hunan Province. Its main buildings include the Archway, Chen Shuxiang's Life Exhibition Room, Chen Shuxiang Martyrs' Tomb, Red 34th Division Martyrs' Tomb, Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument, Red Army Pavilion, Floating Carving and Welcome Trail.
Martyr Chen Shuxiang was born in the early years of 1905, in Gong Yan Group, Fulin Community, Fulin Town. 1934 10 In the Xiangjiang Campaign, Chen Shuxiang, then the commander of the Red 34th Division, led more than 6,000 commanders and soldiers to complete the task of covering the Central Red Army crossing the river at the cost of almost total annihilation.
In the process of breaking through, Chen Shuxiang was unfortunately captured. He would rather die than surrender, and he died heroically at the age of 29. After Chen Shuxiang's death, the enemy still didn't want to let him go. The enemy brutally cut off his head, sent it to Changsha and hung it on the city gate. The former residence of Chen Shuxiang Martyrs is in Fulin Town, Changsha County.
