Wu, male, born in April, 195 1, from Fenghua, Zhejiang. 1978 entered the history department of east China normal university, and 1988 received his doctorate in history. He is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor of East China Normal University. His main research fields are the history of Chinese historiography, historical philology and the academic history of the 20th century.

1978 joined the history department of East China Normal University,

1988 received a doctorate in history.

He is currently a tenured professor and doctoral supervisor in the History Department of East China Normal University. His main research fields are the history of Chinese historiography, historical philology and the academic history of the 20th century. His main works include Notes on Mandarin Translation, Zi Jian (collation of Yi), Dictionary of Five History of Southern Dynasties (deputy editor-in-chief), four bound volumes of editing and proofreading general history, Feng Academic Collected Works, Feng Academic Collected Works and so on. Participate in the collation of the Complete Works of Wang Guowei, a key publishing planning project in the Ninth Five-Year Plan.

The main courses offered are: History of Chinese Historiography, History of Han History as a Mirror, and Theoretical Construction of Contemporary Historiography in China. His main works include Interpretation of Mandarin, Tongzhi Jian (with textual research), Four General History, and Dictionary of Five History of Southern Dynasties (deputy editor). He is undertaking the collation of the Complete Works of Wang Guowei, a national key publishing planning project during the Ninth Five-Year Plan. He has published dozens of academic papers, such as Study on Sima Guang's Tongjian Draft in Song Dynasty, Study on the Theory of Natural Evolution, On Seeking Truth and Non-utilitarianism, Preliminary Study on Liang Qichao's New Historiography Thought in China Literature and History, and Research on Modern History and Social Science.
