Sun Renjun, (1915-2001), male, Han nationality, was born in19151. Songjiang County, Jiangsu Province (now Songjiang District, Shanghai). Party member, academician of China Academy of Engineering, academician of Major General. 1938 graduated from the Department of Electrical Engineering of Shanghai Jiaotong University with a bachelor's degree in telecommunications. 1938 joined the Communication School of the Third Bureau of the Central Military Commission (participated in the revolution) as a teacher, and joined China in the same year. During the period of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, he served as a teacher of the Communication School of the Third Military Commission, director of the laboratory of the Communication Materials Factory of the Third Military Commission, 1940 deputy director and factory director, and 1945 director of the technical research office of the Third Military Commission. During the war of liberation, he served as director of the technical research office of the Third Bureau of the Central Military Commission, deputy director and technical director of the Telecommunications Bureau. After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), he served as deputy director of the General Administration of Telecommunications from 65438 to 0949. Later, he served as director of the first division of the Engineering College of the Military Commission, vice president of the Communication Engineering College of China People's Liberation Army (now xidian university), 1956 Minister of Science and Technology of the Communications Department of the General Staff, 1965 Deputy Minister and Minister of Science and Technology of the China People's Liberation Army, vice president of the Tenth Research Institute, 19655 concurrently dean of the Tenth National Defense Research Institute of the Communications Department 1965. He is a member of the first the State Council Academic Degrees Committee, the first National Scientific Invention Appraisal Committee and the leader of the electronic selection team, Fourth Ministry of machinery industry, the director of the Electronic Industry Science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of Electronic Industry, and the member of the second and third national committees of the China Association for Science and Technology. He has served as the first and second vice-chairmen of the Chinese Institute of Electronics and the third, fourth, fifth and sixth directors, and was hired as distinguished professor of the Chinese Association of Old Professors; Honorary Professor of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, xidian university and Shanxi University; Adjunct professor of National Defense University and Hangzhou Institute of Electronic Technology. He is an academician of China Academy of Engineering. 1964 promoted to the rank of major general.
He is also the director of the Editorial Committee of Encyclopedia Electronic and Computer Volumes.
Comrade Sun is one of the important founders of the Chinese Institute of Electronics, and a famous electronic science and technology expert in the field of electronic information. For decades, he has made outstanding contributions to the establishment, construction and development of the Institute of Electronics in China and the improvement of the academic and technical level of electronics in China.
