Kawagebo is called "Rongzan Kawagebo" in Tibetan scriptures, which means "the peak of the steep and majestic snow mountain in the valley" in Chinese. In Tibetan, the so-called Kawagebo refers not only to the highest peak, but also to several towering snow peaks. In Tibetan Buddhism, the legend of Kawagebozan is the protector of the Kagyu Sect, ranking first among the eight sacred mountains in Tibetan areas.
The Erpo Glacier in Cavaca is mainly influenced by the Indian Ocean airflow, which belongs to marine glaciers and has the characteristics of rapid movement and change. Meili Snow Mountain is located in Hengduan Mountains, extending from north to south like a passage. Warm and humid air from the Indian Ocean can go deep into the mountains along the canyon. The airflow in the Indian Ocean brings a lot of precipitation to Meili Snow Mountain every year, so although the glaciers on Meili Snow Mountain melt a lot in summer, the snowfall in winter is enough to supplement it.
