He used to be the deputy section chief of the Personnel Department of Taiyuan Chemical Plant, the director of the central laboratory, the director of the office of the Party Committee, the deputy director of the political department, the director of the office of the "four clean-ups" working group of Taiyuan Paper Mill and Taiyuan Industry Eighth Group, and the deputy secretary of the Party Committee;

1966 In February, he served as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Political Department of Taiyuan Chemical Plant;
