Guo Moruo, formerly known as Guo Kaizhen, was born in Leshan, Sichuan. He was educated in a private school when he was a child. 19 14 went to study in Japan, 19 18 began to write new poems, and formed literary groups such as Xia Society and Creation Society. He went north with the revolutionary army at 1926. He took an active part in the revolutionary national salvation movement and was elected as the chairman of the All-China Federation of Literary and Art Circles in July 1949. After the founding of New China, he served as a member of the Central People's Government, Vice Premier the State Council, President of the Academy of Sciences, Vice Chairman of the National People's Congress and Vice Chairman Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. He is a poet representing an era in modern literature history. Goddess has created a poetic style with brand-new content and form, which is the cornerstone of modern new poetry.
