The first Sino-American Summer Advanced Seminar on Process (Postmodern) Philosophy was sponsored by Guangxi Normal University, the American Process Research Center and the Professional Committee of Future Philosophy and Development Strategy of China Dialectics Research Association, and started in Guilin from July 18 to August 1 Sunday, 2006. The lecturers employed in the seminar are: Jay, a famous American process philosopher and head of the Department of Philosophy and Religion at Hancock University. Professor Jay mcdaniel and George, a lifelong philosophy professor at California University of Science and Technology? George Defer, consultant of China Department of American Process Research Center, Ronald Phipps, a famous Whitehead expert, Dr. Wang Zhihe and Professor Fan Meijun from China Department of American Process Research Center, and Professor Ouyang Kang from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, etc. More than 30 students from all over the country gathered together to listen to the wonderful academic lectures of experts in process philosophy and postmodernism, and had a heated discussion with them. The students gained a lot, and the seminar teaching was a complete success. The first Sino-American Process (Postmodern) Summer School was successfully held in July 2006 in the picturesque Guilin. Forty-five students attended the summer school.
The second Sino-American Summer Advanced Seminar on Process (Postmodern) Philosophy and Education was hosted by the Process Research Center of ludong university and the United States, and co-organized by the Sino-American Postmodern Development Research Institute. Held in ludong university, Yantai from July 2 1 day to August 1 day, 2007. The speaker of this summer school is Jay, a famous American process philosopher and head of the Department of Philosophy and Religion at Hendricks University. The speaker, Professor Jay McDaniel, is the winner of the National Excellent Teacher Award and the director of the General Education Committee of Gresland University in the United States. The third Sino-American Summer Advanced Seminar on Process Philosophy and Post-modern Agriculture was held in the scenic campus of Shanxi Agricultural University in Taigu, Shanxi from July 23rd to August 6th, 2008. This summer school is sponsored by School of Public Administration of Shanxi Agricultural University and American Process Research Center, and co-organized by China Dialectics Research Association's Future Philosophy and Development Strategy Committee and China-US Post-modern Development Research Institute. The keynote speaker of this summer school is Jay, a famous American process philosopher and head of the Department of Philosophy and Religion at Henriks University. Professor Jay mcdaniel was assisted by Dr. Froy Kodenberg, a famous agroecologist and director of Australia's "Green Australia" project, and Dr. Wang Zhihe, director of China Department of American Process Research Center.
The 4th Sino-American Summer Advanced Seminar on Process Philosophy and Sustainable Urbanization was held in Shanghai East China University of Science and Technology from July 2/KLOC-0 to August 1 2009. The purpose of this summer school is to let young and middle-aged philosophers in China have a systematic understanding of the basic theories of contemporary western process philosophy and constructive postmodernism, especially the research status and development trend of post-modern sustainable urbanization. This summer school is sponsored by Shanghai East China University of Science and Technology Humanities Research Institute and American Process Research Center, and co-organized by Future Philosophy and Development Strategy Committee of Dialectics of Nature Research Association and China-US Post-modern Development Research Institute. The lecturer of this summer school is a famous American process philosopher, an excellent American teacher and a professor of philosophy at Graceland University. The co-speakers are Professor Bao, Dean of School of Humanities, Shanghai East China University of Science and Technology, and Dr. Fan Meijun, Director of China Department of American Process Research Center.
