Up to now, Anhui University of Science and Technology covers an area of about 3,200 mu with a building area of over 760,000 square meters. There are 19 colleges (departments), including but not limited to Earth and Environment College, Civil Engineering College, Mechanical Engineering College, Chemical Engineering College and Medical College. 87 undergraduate majors have been set up. Lyna, president of Anhui University of Science and Technology, is an academician of China Academy of Engineering.

Expansion: The school was founded in 1945, later named Anhui Provincial Bengbu Advanced Industrial Vocational School, and later moved to Huainan, and was renamed Anhui Provincial Institute of Technology and Huainan Institute of Coal Industry. 1955 school was upgraded to Hefei Mining Institute, 1958 was renamed Hefei University of Technology, 197 1 Mining and coalfield geology major moved back to Huainan, and merged with Huainan Coal School to form Huainan Coal Institute. 198 1, the school was renamed Huainan Mining Institute. 1993, East China Coal Medical College merged. 1997, the school was renamed Huainan Institute of Technology. 65438-0998, the school was placed under the management of Anhui Provincial People's Government by the Ministry of Coal Industry. In 2000, Huainan Chemical School merged. In 2002, the school was renamed Anhui University of Science and Technology.
