Due to the age, the patterns, tables and handwriting on it are blurred, and there are even two damaged places on the edge. With the help of my father and grandfather, especially an elderly and experienced grandfather, I had a great effort to extract the contents recorded above: in the top row, there is a column, in the middle of the genealogy, which reads "Three generations of ancestors ……"; The second line: from right to left, the first column is "Tai Gong taboo ……", and from right to left, the second column is "Tai Gong taboo king …"; The third line: from right to left, the first column is "Great-grandfather is afraid of ambition …" and "Great-grandmother is afraid of Zhao …"; From right to left, the second column is "Great-grandfather left his ambition to the left …"; The third column, from right to left, is "Great-grandfather taboo ambition …" and "Great-grandmother taboo Pan Shi …"; The fourth column from right to left is "Great-grandfather is afraid of learning ...". Line 4: From right to left, the first column is "Grandfather Taboo Meeting …" and the second column is "Grandmother Taboo Meeting …" from right to left; The fifth line: from right to left, the first column is "My father is afraid to see the text …" and "My mother is afraid to see the king …"; The second column is "My father is afraid of success …" and "My mother is afraid of Lee …" from right to left. Our family tree has several characteristics: First, three pieces of cloth about 40 cm wide are sewn into the present width, which is not as wide as the present cloth, indicating that the conditions were particularly poor at that time and it was not easy for ancestors; Secondly, according to the records in the genealogy, all the men in the family, regardless of their generations, have their names recorded after their death, while the female members only record their surnames; Third, every name has the word "god" behind it, and the word "taboo" before the first name and surname, perhaps to show respect for them in this way.
There is also a beautiful couplet in our family tree, which is very special. It says "Twenty-four Filial Pieties", saying it is a couplet, but it has no words, and it is completely composed of beautiful pictures. This may be a family motto left by our ancestors to future generations. In the words of adults, it is the subtext teaching of our ancestors! If the ancestors can pass down their deeds (resumes) in words and images, or leave their photos to us, let our descendants know their life trajectory and witness their admiration!
